Brad Skinner, MPT, OCS, Dip MDT, CSCS

Brad received his Bachelors in Health Science in 1991 and Masters in Physical Therapy from the University of Michigan in 1993. He has worked as an Orthopedic Physical Therapist in both hospital and private practice. Postgraduate education has focused on the prevention and treatment of spinal disorders.
In 1995 he was one of the first therapists in Michigan to become certified in the McKenzie System of Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment. He attended the residency program in this approach and was awarded a diploma in Mechanical Diagnosis and Treatment in 1998. In addition to running Sport & Spine Physical Therapy and providing spine injury prevention services at the Daimler-Chrysler Proving Grounds in Chelsea MI. Brad has worked with a wide range of spinal disorders that failed other approaches through his work with the Chelsea Back Care Program. Brad has also received his certification in Industrial Injury Prevention in June 2002.
Brad's other passions are in sports medicine and general orthopedics. He has received extensive post graduate training in the treatment of the shoulder, elbow, hip, knee and foot/ankle complex. In 2002 Brad became a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy through the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. He has experience working with a wide spectrum of athletes, from children to weekend warriors to the Detroit Lions.
Brad's vision is to provide state of the art management of orthopedic conditions while providing exceptional customer service. He looks forward to working closely with you to become your conservative care and post operative specialist of choice. His unique combination of skills as a Physical Therapist with specializations in orthopedics and strength and conditioning, allows him to address people's physical goals from athletes in competition to grandparents who want to walk down the aisle at their grandchild's wedding.

Jeff Skrzypek
Fitness Coordinator
As a fitness trainer who has helped some of the most competitive body builders and power lifters, Jeff has worked in rehabilitation and physical therapy clinics at Chelsea Community Hospital for 19 years. Jeff joins Sport & Spine Physical Therapy to develop a personal training program. With his experience as a manager of the fitness part of a Racquet Club chain, and his 20 years of fitness experience, Jeff brings many great ideas and skills to help our fitness patients get matched up with their best possible Individual Training Program (ITP).
Jeff is a graduate from Eastern Michigan University and assisted in the design of weight rooms in recreation centers at the collegiate level. He also helped Sport & Spine Physical Therapy to introduce the equipment to the public. Members of Jeff’s personal training programs couldn’t be happier.
Helping people reach the goals they set for themselves is what Jeff does best. He sets them up with a comprehensive program to enable, educate and motivate them to stay on track, and continue to make new goals. Whether the goal is to run a marathon, or just to garden for an extra hour a week, Jeff is the personal trainer that develops the means to meet your goal.
Tammy Cox, PTA
Tammy brings a warm and professional approach to patient care. Using therapeutic exercise, functional training and manual therapy techniques she assists and progresses patients in reaching their rehabilitation goals.
She has an Associate's degree from Washtenaw Community College and was a member of the first class to graduate from the Physical Therapists Assistant program in May 2009. She also has a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Michigan. She joined the Sport & Spine team in January 2007.
